Woven Fabric
Tenax™ ThermoPlastic Woven Fabric (TPWF) is a woven fabric coated with a thermoplastic polymer. It is based on Tenax™ Carbon Fiber and a high-temperature polymer matrix system to provide superior mechanical, chemical and thermal properties. The material is available in 200 m rolls with a width of 1,250 mm and a nominal ply thickness of 0.31 mm. The prepreg areal weight is 485 g/m².
Tenax™ ThermoPlastic Woven Fabric for production processes
Tenax™ TPWF is the core material of Tenax™ ThermoPlastic Consoldated Laminate, and can also be used to create complex part designs with compression molding processes.
AniForm Material Cards
AniForm Material Cards enable fast, user-friendly, and highly accurate simulation of composite laminate formability. They support a reliable “first-time-right” approach, allowing efficient process development and reducing trial-and-error in manufacturing.
Material properties are characterized at three different processing temperatures, ensuring a highly realistic prediction of forming behavior. This allows for optimized process design and improved part quality from the very beginning.
Available Material Cards
AniForm Material Cards are currently available for the following materials:
- TPUD PPS HTS45
(Tenax™ TPUD HT 03 0145 610002)
- TPUD PAEK IMS65
(Tenax™ TPUD IM 02 0145 610020)
- TPWF PEEK HTA40
(Tenax™ TPWF PEEK-4-40-HTA40 E13 3K DT-5HS-285 6209)
NCAMP Qualification
Tenax™ thermoplastic woven fabric with PEEK are qualified through NCAMP, providing standardized and widely accepted material data. The resulting specifications and design values are recognized by major aviation authorities such as FAA, EASA, and ANAC—supporting faster certification processes and reducing development risks for aerospace applications.
