Consolidated Laminate
Tenax™ thermoplastic consolidated Laminates (TPCL) are fully impregnated and consolidated composite sheets made from multiple layers of carbon fiber woven fabric (Tenax™ TPWF) combined with high-performance thermoplastic polymers.
Based on Tenax™ carbon fibers and advanced matrix systems such as PEEK and PPS, TPCL offers outstanding mechanical strength along with excellent chemical and thermal resistance—making it ideal for demanding structural applications.
The material is available in a size of 800 mm x 1,200 mm (Tenax™ TPCL PEEK HTA40) or 1,200 mm x 1,800 mm (Tenax™ TPCL PPS HTS40) and can be tailored with different stacking sequences to meet specific performance requirements. Functional surface layers, such as glass fabric for corrosion prevention or bronze mesh for lightning strike protection, can be integrated to support application-specific needs.
Tenax™ ThermoPlastic Consolidated Laminate for production processes
Tenax™ TPCL can be heated above its melting temperature and then stamped in a metallic mold within a few minutes. It is suited for large-scale production of parts requiring high mechanical performance, including as structural components for aerospace. TPCL brackets and TPCL clips are used as structural connectors on the Airbus A350.

Composite specifications and design values developed under the NCAMP framework are recognized by leading aviation authorities, including the FAA, EASA, and ANAC. This ensures reliable, industry-accepted data for efficient certification and application development in aerospace.
Tenax™ ThermoPlastic Consolidated Laminate for medical applications
Tenax™-E TPCL PEEK-HTA40 is tested as non-cytotoxic according to DIN EN ISO 10993-5. There is no expected risk for patients when this material is reprocessed in medical devices if the contact with human skin, mucosa,or damaged tissues does not exceed 24 hours.
