Teijin Carbon highlights expanded Tenax Next™ product line with sustainable and new industrial material solutions

06. March 2026 | News

One year after the introduction of Tenax Next™ HTS45 E23 24K 1600tex, Teijin Carbon returns to JEC World with an expanded Tenax Next™ product line now fully available for industrial use.

Wuppertal, Germany – March 6, 2026 – One year after the introduction of Tenax Next™ HTS45 E23 24K 1600tex, Teijin Carbon returns to JEC World with an expanded Tenax Next™ product line now fully available for industrial use. Tenax Next™ products are next-generation carbon fiber materials based on circular feedstocks, which deliver an audited 36% CO reduction while maintaining benchmark tensile and stiffness performance and integrate seamlessly into existing high-volume production setups.

Alongside the commercial Tenax Next™ HTS45 E23 24K, Teijin Carbon presents additional Tenax Next™ materials addressing the needs of industrial, marine, mobility, infrastructure and energy sectors.

“Industrial manufacturers are looking for reliable, lower‑carbon materials that perform consistently under real operating conditions,” says Julian Lowe, Vice President Global Industrial Marketing “With the full Tenax Next™ product line now commercially available, we provide drop‑in materials with lower CO impact and proven processing behavior – enabling customers to move toward sustainability targets without performance trade‑offs.”

Alongside Tenax Next™ HTS45 E23 24K fiber, Teijin Carbon is displaying the following additional commercial Tenax Next™ materials addressing the specific needs of industrial, marine, mobility, infrastructure and energy sectors.

• Pelletized Tenax Next™ carbon fiber
The pelletized carbon fiber grades Tenax Next™ R2S P513 and Tenax Next™ R2M P513 are circular carbon fibers made from in-house manufacturing residues. They are designed for automated feeding in thermoplastic compounding (e.g., PA6 and PA66), where they add stiffness, lightweight performance and electrical conductivity, along with improved sustainability.

• rCF/PC non-woven fabric
The thermoformable non-woven Tenax Next™ R3S F/D-C21A200L   is reinforced with recycled carbon fiber to enable rapid thermoforming and automated press molding. The material combines short cycle times, high stiffness and flame-retardant performance for high-volume lightweight structures.

Together, these solutions balance performance, sustainability and economic viability across the component lifecycle.

Meeting industrial customers’ growing demand for durable, lower-emission materials

Tenax Next™ materials help reduce emissions, improve component lifetime and increase material efficiency – key drivers for engineering, procurement and operations teams.
