Each year, JEC World at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre brings together the global composites value chain, connecting innovation, business, and industrial applications across key sectors such as aerospace, mobility, infrastructure, marine, and defense. At JEC World 2026, Teijin Carbon was once again part of this leading global trade show dedicated to composite materials, technologies, and applications. The entire Teijin Carbon sales team from Japan, Europe, and the Americas was present at Booth 6G24.
Across many discussions during the show, one theme became particularly clear: the industry is increasingly focused on combining sustainability targets with scalable industrial manufacturing.
With more than 100 countries represented by industry professionals attending the show, JEC World once again provided an important platform for technical exchange and industry dialogue. As a producer of advanced carbon fiber products, including carbon fiber, resins, and additives, we support composite applications across industries such as aerospace, automotive, infrastructure, civil engineering, defense, marine, and sports and leisure. Throughout the event, our global experts engaged with customers and partners to discuss carbon fiber solutions for various applications.
At the show, we presented three newly introduced product solutions designed to support high-performance and scalable composite applications: Our new carbon fiber filament yarn, short fiber product, and thermoformable nonwoven composite sheet.
We presented our new carbon fiber filament yarn Tenax™ UTS50 C31 24K 1600tex. It is particularly suited for Long Fiber Thermoplastics (LFT), where high strength and toughness are critical for component performance. With an exceptional tensile strength of 5,000 MPa and enhanced elongation at break, it offers outstanding energy absorption and durability.
Our new short fiber product Tenax Next™ R2M P513 6mm is based on in-house manufacturing residues, allowing Teijin Carbon to control and manage the supply chain, material source, and quality. Just like Tenax Next™ R2S P513 6mm, which we introduced at JEC 2025, the short fibers are designed for automated feeding in thermoplastic compounding, where they add stiffness, lightweight performance, and electrical conductivity, as well as improved sustainability.
In the field of thermoplastics, we introduced Tenax Next™ R3S F/D-C21A200L, our new thermoformable non-woven composite sheet. This thermoplastic sheet is reinforced with recycled carbon fiber (rCF) and is specifically designed for fast, automated thermoforming processes, making it well suited for high-volume lightweight structural applications.
Our commitment to translating material innovation into production-ready solutions was also highlighted through collaborative projects such as LeiWaCo and SAUBER 4.0, of which both were honored at the JEC Composites Innovation Awards 2026. These recognitions highlight the importance of strong cross-industry partnerships in advancing next-generation composite technologies.
Throughout JEC World 2026, our global sales team welcomed visitors from across the composites community at our booth. The show provided an excellent opportunity to reconnect with long-standing partners, meet new contacts, and engage in in-depth technical discussions. Alongside our latest product developments, conversations focused on how advanced carbon fiber materials can help translate sustainability goals into scalable, high-performance composite solutions. Once again, JEC World proved to be a unique platform for exchanging ideas, strengthening collaborations, and exploring the future of composite innovation together. We are already looking forward to continuing the conversation at JEC World 2027.
