NADCAP stands for National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program and comes from the North American aircraft industry. It is a tool for assuring quality in the supply chain and is therefore increasingly required by our aerospace customers.

Because of Corona, it took us about three years of preparation to get an audit appointment. The auditor intensively inspected our processes and the execution of work steps – mainly in metrology – and determined that we fully meet the quality requirements for testing fiber composites according to NADCAP.

This is of enormous importance to us, so that we may continue to carry out material qualifications in our testing laboratories for customers in the future. In the coming years, there will be further NADCAP audits at Teijin Carbon Europe, as we would like to have the production and testing of carbon fibers, NCFs and tapes certified as well.
