Teijin Limited announced today that it has made cash and in-kind donations to help residents of North Carolina and South Carolina recover from Hurricane Florence, which struck the southeastern United States earlier this month.
Teijin Carbon Fibers, Inc., which launched as a Teijin wholly owned subsidiary in South Carolina in March, donated USD 5,000 to Harvest Hope Food Bank, a nonprofit organization.
Also, Continental Structural Plastics team at its Lenoir facility in North Carolina, donated toiletry kits to families impacted by the flooding. Continental Structural Plastics Holdings Corporation is the core company of the Teijin Group’s composites business for automotive applications.
The Teijin Group extends its thoughts and prayers to the communities affected by Hurricane Florence and hopes that its donations will help to support the impacted communities.
North America is one of the key hubs for global operations for the Teijin Group, especially in markets for high-performance materials and composites.
