Physic laboratory technician / materials tester (m/f/d)

Your future field of activity

  • Determination of characteristic values by static and dynamic tests on material testing machines
  • Non-destructive testing with the equipment provided for this purpose
  • Testing of fiber-reinforced plastics with strain gages (DMS)
  • Evaluations, of measurement results
  • Documentation and presentation of characteristic values according to national and international standards as well as customer specifications 
  • Preparation of micrographs on fiber composites to determine defects 
  • Preparation of work instructions according to national and international standards as well as customer specifications 
  • Maintenance and care of technical equipment, devices and installations
  • Supervision and disposition of raw and auxiliary materials

Requirements

  • Completed training as a physics laboratory technician (m/f/d) or materials tester (m/f/d), alternatively completed training as a physical-technical assistant (m/f/d) with several years' professional experience.
  • Knowledge in the field of DMS application and use as well as in handling Zwick materials testing machines
  • Experience in software-supported measurement data acquisition and evaluation
  • Experience in micrograph preparation is desirable 
  • Familiarity with typical laboratory equipment and materials
  • Application knowledge with MS-Word & MS-Excel 
  • Good German language skills as well as good technical English skills
