II. General information for processing applicant data
In order for us to involve you in the application process for a specific position, you will need to provide us with the usual and significant application documents that provide us with information about your personality profile and qualifications.

Generally, we only use your application documents to decide whether to fill the position for which you have expressly applied. In the course of the application process, more personal data may be collected for this purpose from you personally or from generally accessible sources. The legal bases for data processing are Article 6 Para. 1 Sentence 2 Letter b in conjunction with Article 28 GDPR, Section 26 Para. 1 BDSG (Federal Data Protection Act). If the application procedure does not lead to your recruitment, we will usually delete and destroy your application data as soon as a period of six months has elapsed after the completion of the application procedure for the position in question. This does not apply if legal regulations exclude deletion, if you have expressly agreed to a longer storage (of your data) or if we refer to a legitimate interest as defined by Article 6 para. 1 f) DSGVO.

However, if you submit an unsolicited application that does not relate to a specific position, we can use your application documents in the context of recruitment decisions for all possible positions. We will delete and destroy your application data after a period of six months from the date of receipt of your application, but not before all the application procedures to which your application documents have been subject are complete and a period of six months has elapsed since then.

We may statistically evaluate information on incoming applications in order to get an overview of our range of applicants. For this purpose, we may retain anonymised data even after deletion of your application documents, which do not allow any conclusions about you.

III.  Data processing after recruitment
If the application procedure does lead to recruitment, we will include your application documents in your personnel file based on Article 6 Para. 1 Sentence 2 Letter b GDPR, Section 26 Para. 1 BDSG as information on your personality profile and qualifications for the purpose of employment. In this case, we will inform you in a separate data privacy policy about the further processing purposes and the relevant deletion periods.

IV.  Data privacy rights
If we process your personal data, you are entitled to various data protection rights from our company. You have the right

  • to request information about your stored personal data and its origin, the purpose of processing as well as the recipients or categories of recipients of the data (Article 15 GDPR, Section 34 BDSG),
  • to demand correction, blocking (restriction on processing) or deletion of your personal data from us under certain conditions, (Articles 16-18 GDPR, Section 35 BDSG),
  • to request the transfer of your data to another controller (Article 20 GDPR) and to complain to us or to a competent data protection authority about the data processing (Article 77 GDPR).

We shall comply with all of your rights free of charge and without delay. If you have any further questions regarding this or anything else, please contact us directly or our data protection officer using the contact details provided at the top of this page.
